InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza: This iconic 371-room hotel in Kansas City underwent a major renovation in 2017. PLAID was tasked to study site and landscape improvements for the property. A number of sketch studies were performed to understand the opportunities to improve vehicular/pedestrian entries, the pool deck, the streetscape zone, the auto-court, and periphery landscape conditions. The implemented design yielded an updated, fresh landscape commiserate with other interior improvements.
