KSU North Campus Master Plan [Manhattan, KS] : The Kansas State University North Campus Corridor Master Plan provides a vision and framework for the future facilities, open space, and infrastructure necessary for KSU to achieve its visionary goal to be top 50 public research university by 2025. It builds upon the opportunities associated with the implementation of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). The Master Plan identifies flexible development potential that will advance the goals of the strategic plan, improve the image and identity of KSU, and enhance the student, faculty, staff, and visitor experience.

Specifically, the Master Plan provides guidance on land use, building locations, streetscape improvements, parking and transportation, signage and wayfinding, and infrastructure. PLAID collaborated with a multi-disciplinary team on the preparation of master plan alternatives that addressed development density, land use, transportation, circulation, and open space. PLAID also provided detailed recommendations for entry gateway definition/enhancement and streetscape improvements.
