The Nelson Atkins Museum of Art conceived the idea for a mini-golf course in 2018. PLAID assisted with brainstorming, planning, and design of the course for implementation in 2019. Nine golf holes were delicately located under the gingko bosque in the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park. Each golf hole was designed by independent artists, designers, and creatives; the theme of each hole varies, but all were inspired and adapted from works in the museum or sculpture park. The golfing experience is complete with seating, lighting, and of course, amazing views. Kansas City embraced this unique destination, and we look forward to the playing for years to come.
