The Meridian [Florida] : PLAID collaborative with a multi-disciplinary design team to prepare a master plan for an 800- acre mixed-use development in Charlotte County, Florida. Components of the plan include a themed commercial village, amateur and professional athletic facilities, single and multi-family residential, office, and entertainment options. A comprehensive circulation system of well-conceived vehicular and pedestrian linkages efficiently connects all of the components, resulting in a unified and convenient destination development. The plan also addresses the adjacent transportation network and overall stormwater management regulations.
